That time of the year again...

Just a couple of days (or rather a few weeks) ago was the Chinese Traditional Festival.. "Duan Wu Jie" better known as the Dragon Boat Festival.
As a Chinese, mixed with Sugar, Spices and Everything nice (since none of you ever believe that I'm a pure Chinese...), I'm so proud that I finally get to eat Rice Dumplings after 3 long years~~~ and yea, I meant it. 3 long years was the time I had to go thru without my BAK CHANG.

Po-Po's Bak Chang.

Hang on Hang on....

This is not all... now hold tight to your seat.. Cos I promise.. its gonna be nicer than what you can imagine..

Drools~~
Be honest with you, I'm never a fan of Bak Chang.. In fact, I hated bak chang since long, cos they are annoying oily. And to get those leaves off, its DARN tedious! Gosh! But again, one side of me just can't stop myself from having 2 big ones for supper occassionally... those were the days you see. And I can swear by it, 2 big bak chang really have no effect on me.. None at all.
And it only took this Po~Po's Bak Chang to rekindle all my love for this traditional thingy.. And it made me feel so Chinese once again.
Filled with lean meat, Gao Luk and the ever tasty chinese mushroom. Gosh, and the rice was yummylicious. The rice... Awww... the rice... its just filled with the meaty smell and fragance of the mushroom... Oh man... it has got to be the rice!
I promised I'm gonna learn how do DIY Bak Chang by next year, I'll go and beg po~po to teach me her skill.
Po~Po please...
Okok.. I promise to play maid for 1 day pls?
