Sydney Discovery

First.. apologise for the lateness of this entry.. I'm still very much caught up with all the food and fun in Singapore

Covering the 3 big attractions in Sydney all in 1 day, its no joke man!
Gosh.. and with me around.. it can only be fun! Heehe.

Prior to the trip, I had a little time to do some planning too.. and so, to save me some trouble of rewriting the trip's detail, I will jus do a copy n paste here and add on to the details from there. Bear with me! Otherwise, switch blog lah!

Our trip of the day all begins with...

We will meet up at the North Wollongong Station at 8:10am where we will catch the train at 8:16am. Then reaching Sydney Central Station at 9:46am. (Everyone will need to grab a return ticket to Central Station)

From there, we will walk over to the Paddy's Market for alittle shopping. This is where the chinatown of Sydney is located as well.

Well, I did plan for alittle shopping.. but.. shopping is afterall a sport that most girls excel in..

Stoping for a quick pix. The Queen Victoria Building.

We will leave for the Sydney Tower where we will have a 360 degrees view of the beautiful harbour city. Up at the Tower, we will be going on the OzTrek, the largest simulated ride in Australia, that takes you on an amazing virtual reality adventure across Australia's cultural history and geography.

Sadly, I can't grab any picture about the OZ Trek, but rest assured, its pretty worth the ticket price. And whats more, you get to go all the way up Up UP! Up onto the Sky Tower where you get a magnificiant view of Sydney.

And here is the tower! To is no surprise that to get up this tall thing, you will need to pass thru some stringent security check.

Here is the highest working Post Box in the Southern Hemisphere.. Guess what will happen if that bloody crampy lift breaks down? Heehe

Ah.. the ever famous Sydney Icon.. the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The busy streets of Sydney. I thot this picture really look like my "Sim City 3000" (For those who don't know, I'm am avid fan of the Sims!)

TaDa! And here is the Princess in her "UniScrew" T-Shirt!

Hyde Park.. A park out of da blue!

We will then head for the Sydney Fish Market for a fantastic seafood lunch. From the all-time-favourite fish 'n' chips to signature seafood platter, they are just so hard to resist!

(Sorry folks, no photos for this bit here.. The Princess is just famished! Anne has got the pixs, will update if I grab them from her!)

Fish are Friends, Not Food!

After lunch, we will head back to Darling Harbour where we will visit the Sydney Aquarium where you will get to see a large collection of Australian aquatic life with over 11,500 animals including huge sharks and rays, platypus, seals, fairy penguins, crocodiles and much more! We should be able to catch the feed time of the penguins at 3pm! (If time allows, we can even pop by the National Maritime Museum for awhile)

Ahh.. thou we were slightly late for all our planned activities, we still had the time to pop into the museum for awhile.

Ahh.. here is the Museum..

Just beside the Aquarium is our Final destination, Sydney Wildlife World and see over 6,000 animals living in their 9 natural habitats and ecosystems, where you can take a walk on the wild side with the yellow-footed rock wallabies, or meet one of Aussie's national icon, the Koala.

Here is the next 2 destination.. The Aquarium and the wildlife world.

While we were in the Aquarium, you really have to look out for Crocs and some funny signs like this..

And if you still have trouble picturing a Croc or if you really have no idea whats that, here is a clue.. Duh!

Freshies, Salties and Hottie.. Ahem Ahem!

Mr Lonely.. A Fairy penguin

And if you are still "Finding Nemo"

Here's Nemo Found

Nemo's Home

Still looking cool..

Next at the Wildlife World, we were greeted with many different kinds of animals! Duh! Didn't I mention that this is the Wildlife world? Grrrr....

Just reminds me of the cartoon "Antz".. Awww, looking at it jus makes me feel itchy.

Remember when I was a kid, I used to be freaked out by one of these... Eeewwww

Stop thinking all animals that look like this is called Kangaroo... This is a Wallaby, mind u!

Unmistakable, the lazy Koala!

Ending of our tour with an evening stroll around the Darling Harbour where we will come across some landmarks like the Sydney Exhibition centre and the Chinese garden. We can head for Chinatown for some authentic Chinese Crusine or grab some nice pastries and cakes from the "famous" bakery along the street.

So we had the Dumplings from this Da Niang Dumpling Place. Pretty good actually. And a really big range to choose from. Yummy.. And of cos, following that, I have to take my daily dose of Ice-cream again... and need I say again.. GO FOR THE BLACK SESAME FLAVOUR ONE!!!!!

Then at the bakery, you should try some of the stuff like the Yam cake etc.. That day I bought some "Dan Tart" (Egg Tarts) for Sally, my daily evil plan to help her... ermm.. hehee

Then its back to the Central Station for our ride back to Wollongong.
